Four April Full Course Dinners Using Your Featured Sale Ingredients
These four dinner menus are built around the kinds of meals people often want in April: Easter style meals, fresh spring chicken dinners, grilled dinners as weather warms up, and comfort meals that still fit the season. I used the featured sale ingredients throughout the drinks, mains, sides, and desserts so the menus work as themed promotions too.

Easter Style Honey Vanilla Ham Dinner
This meal feels right for April because it fits Easter, spring family gatherings, and Sunday dinners.
Beverage
Orange Vanilla Spring Sparkler
Ingredients
4 cups sparkling water or lemon lime soda
1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Orange Extract
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Vanilla Extract
2 tablespoons honey
Orange slices
Ice
Directions
Stir the orange juice, orange extract, vanilla extract, and honey together until blended. Pour over ice and top with sparkling water or soda. Garnish with orange slices.
First Course
Creamy Country Herb Soup
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, diced
2 cups chopped potatoes
2 cups chopped carrots
4 cups water or broth
2 tablespoons Living Naturally & Simply Chicken Soup & Gravy Base
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Organic Garlic Herb Seasoning
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Organic Onion Powder
1 cup milk or half and half
Directions
Melt butter in a soup pot and cook onion until softened. Add potatoes, carrots, water or broth, chicken soup base, garlic herb seasoning, and onion powder. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Lightly mash some of the vegetables to thicken the soup, then stir in milk. Heat gently and serve.
Main Course
Vanilla Orange Glazed Ham
Ingredients
1 fully cooked spiral sliced ham, about 7 to 9 pounds
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Orange Extract
2 teaspoons Living Naturally & Simply Pure Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Purest Ground Cinnamon
Directions
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Place ham in a roasting pan and cover loosely with foil. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, orange extract, vanilla extract, vanilla bean paste, mustard, orange juice, and cinnamon. Brush over ham. Bake according to package directions, brushing with glaze every 20 to 30 minutes. Uncover during the last 20 minutes so the glaze shines.
Side Dish
Garlic Herb Roasted Baby Potatoes
Ingredients
2 pounds baby potatoes, halved
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons Living Naturally & Simply Organic Garlic Herb Seasoning
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Organic Thyme
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Organic Basil Leaves
Salt if needed
Directions
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Toss potatoes with oil, garlic herb seasoning, thyme, and basil. Spread on a baking sheet and roast 35 to 40 minutes until browned and tender.
Side Dish
Country Gravy Green Beans and Mushrooms
Ingredients
1 pound green beans
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons Living Naturally & Simply Organic Country Gravy Mix
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Organic Garlic Salt
Directions
Steam or boil green beans until just tender. In a skillet, cook mushrooms in butter. Whisk milk and country gravy mix together and pour into the skillet. Cook until thickened, then stir in garlic salt. Toss with green beans.

Vanilla Bean Strawberry Shortcake with Pink Sprinkle Finish
Ingredients
For the berries
4 cups sliced strawberries
1 third cup sugar
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
For the shortcakes
2 cups flour
1 fourth cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Purest Ground Cinnamon
1 half teaspoon salt
1 half cup cold butter
2 thirds cup milk
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Vanilla Extract
For the whipped topping
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Living Naturally & Simply Pure Vanilla Extract
Living Naturally & Simply Barbie Pink Sprinkles for garnish
Directions
Mix strawberries with sugar and vanilla bean paste. Let stand. For the shortcakes, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk and vanilla just until dough forms. Drop onto a baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Beat cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until fluffy. Split shortcakes and fill with strawberries and cream. Top with a few pink sprinkles for a festive spring finish.
